Your Path to Becoming a Patient Care Technician
A Patient care tech certification is an allied health professional who provides direct patient care within the scope of their practice. Their duties include obtaining vital signs and other data of patients (as directed by the nursing or medical staff). Participating in healthcare team meetings and communicating with patients, assisting with activities of daily living (ADL), adhering to confidentiality requirements, and performing phlebotomy and ECG tasks.
